How much RAM does a Minecraft server really need? Vanilla with a few friends runs fine on 2–4 GB. Every plugin, mod and extra player adds to that — modpacks are what really push it up. Start where the table puts you; you can upgrade from the panel at any time and your world stays exactly where it is.
Cheap Minecraft hosting — with serious hardware. Spark starts at €1.60 for the first month (€2.00 after that). Not because we squeeze the hardware, but because we run our own nodes and don’t pay reseller margins. No hidden fees, no “premium support” upsell: what you see on the card is what you pay.
Modpacks & plugins · one click

Modpacks and plugins in one click — every loader, every version.

Switch Minecraft versions and server types from the panel without reinstalling. When you install a modpack, the right Java version and loader are set for you.

Modpack installer

Whole modpacks, straight from the panel

Pick a pack from CurseForge, FTB, Technic, ATLauncher or VoidsWrath and install it in one click — loader, Java version and server files included. Your own custom pack works too: upload it over SFTP and choose the Forge, NeoForge or Fabric version.

Plugin & mod installer

Single plugins and mods, no FTP needed

Add mods from CurseForge and Modrinth, or plugins from Spigot, Bukkit, BungeeCord and PolyMart, from the same panel. Dynmap or BlueMap, Simple Voice Chat, EssentialsX, LuckPerms, WorldEdit — need an extra port for one of them? Open a ticket and we add it, free.

Friends on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or mobile? They can join too.

Bedrock players join your Java server through Geyser and Floodgate. We install it for you:

  1. Pick Paper or Purpur — Geyser runs as a plugin on both.
  2. Ask for Geyser in a ticket. We install Geyser and Floodgate and open the Bedrock port (19132 by default).
  3. Bedrock players add your server with the same IP and the Bedrock port. Java players keep joining as before.

What works

Bedrock players on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Windows and mobile join your Java server and play in the same world as Java players. Plugins work for everyone. Same IP, their own port.

What doesn’t

Forge and Fabric modded servers don’t take Bedrock players: Bedrock clients can’t load Java mods. A few Java-only mechanics (some redstone timings, combat details) behave slightly differently for Bedrock players.

Rent or buy · same thing, no lock-in

Renting or buying a Minecraft server — what’s the difference?

“Buying”

It’s your server

People who say “buy” want it to feel like theirs — and it is. Your world, your rules, your mods. You get full panel and SFTP access, choose the version, and decide who gets in.

“Renting”

Month to month, stop whenever

People who say “rent” want it low-commitment — and it is. You pay per month, there’s no contract and no notice period, and you can upgrade or stop at any time. Try Spark or Core free for 3 days first, without a card.

Migration · free help with every plan

Moving from your own PC or another host? We bring your world over.

  1. From your own PC: upload your world folder (world, world_nether, world_the_end) through the panel or SFTP. No more “the server only runs when Dave’s PC is on”.
  2. From Shockbyte, BisectHosting, Aternos or any other host: download your world plus your plugins or mods folder and upload them here — or send them in a ticket.
  3. Stuck? Open a ticket before your old subscription ends and we move your world, plugins and configs for you, free.
Hardware · Network · Everything included

We name the CPU. Most Minecraft hosts don’t.

Every Minecraft server runs on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X or EPYC 9374F with DDR5 ECC RAM and NVMe SSDs, in the NorthC datacenter in Nieuwegein, on our own AS208112 network. Minecraft’s main thread is single-core-bound, so per-core clock — not core count — is what keeps your TPS at 20 when the base grows.

What we don’t claim. We don’t call ourselves “enterprise-grade”, and we’re not the cheapest host on the market. We’re a Belgian company (Roman Empire BV, Lier) running our own hardware in the Netherlands: affordable, with serious hardware and a person behind every ticket.
FAQ · straight answers

Minecraft server hosting — FAQ.

Last updated:

What’s the difference between buying and renting a Minecraft server?
In practice they’re the same thing: a server that runs on our hardware and that you manage. “Buying” usually means you want it to feel like yours — your world, your rules. “Renting” means month to month, no contract. With us it’s both: from €2.00 a month (€1.60 the first month), cancel whenever you like.
How fast is my Minecraft server online?
Usually within 5 minutes of payment. You get an IP address and port plus panel access straight away and can join from your Minecraft client. Some modpacks need 10–15 minutes on first boot while the files download. Not running after 30 minutes? Open a ticket and we’ll sort it out.
Which plan fits my group of friends?
1–2 players on vanilla: Spark. 2–3 friends with a few plugins: Core. 3–5 friends on Paper or light mods: Boost. 5–15 friends, Cobblemon or Create: Surge or Blaze. Heavy modpacks like RLCraft, ATM or FTB: Inferno or Pro 14 and up. Not sure? Use the plan finder above, or try Core free for 3 days.
Can friends on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or mobile join?
Yes, through Geyser and Floodgate, which we set up for free. Bedrock players join on the same IP as Java, on their own port (19132 by default), and play together with your Java players. It works on Paper and Purpur. On Forge or Fabric modded servers it doesn’t: Bedrock clients can’t load Java mods.
How do we join the server in Minecraft?
After ordering you get an IP address and port, for example 82.22.82.22:30113. Paste the whole thing — IP, colon, port — into the Server Address field under Multiplayer → Add Server. There’s no separate port field any more. Can’t connect? Open a ticket with a screenshot and we’ll take a look.
Can I upload my singleplayer world or a world from another host?
Yes. Upload it through the panel’s file manager or over SFTP — your world folder (world, world_nether, world_the_end) and, if you like, your plugins or mods. Worlds from Shockbyte, BisectHosting, Aternos and other hosts all work. Stuck? Open a ticket and we’ll move it for you, free.
Which Minecraft modpacks do you support?
Every modpack on CurseForge, FTB, Technic and ATLauncher installs straight from the panel. Popular on our servers: RLCraft, All the Mods, FTB packs, Cobblemon, Create and Better Minecraft. Your own custom pack works too: upload it over SFTP, pick the matching Forge, NeoForge or Fabric version in the panel and start.
What if my server lags or crashes?
First find out whether it’s the modpack or the server. Run the Spark profiler (/spark profiler) for a few minutes and share the report link in a ticket. We read it with you and tell you what the bottleneck is — a heavy mod, too many entities, or simply a plan that’s too small.
How do I cancel my server?
There’s no contract: you pay month to month. Your server only renews automatically if you’ve linked a payment method or have credit on your account; otherwise it simply stops at the end of the period. We keep your data for 7 days after the end date, so download your world before then.
Can I get my money back?
Try first: Spark and Core run free for 3 days, no card needed. After you pay, EU consumers have the legal 14-day right of withdrawal. Because your server starts right away, we refund the remaining part and keep the days you’ve already used. Ask via a ticket or by mail.
Where is your hardware? Is this a Dutch server?
Yes. Our hardware is in the NorthC datacenter in Nieuwegein, Netherlands, on our own network (AS208112). When demand peaks, new servers can temporarily run in Germany on identical hardware. The company behind OXY.Games is Belgian: Roman Empire BV in Lier, VAT BE0797972082. Ping: about 2 ms from Amsterdam, 9 ms from Brussels.
What about DDoS attacks?
Every OXY server sits behind Goliath DDoS filtering at the network edge, on every plan, at no extra cost. Attacks are detected and filtered before they reach your server, with filtering tuned for game traffic so your real players aren’t kicked out along with the attack.
